o Control Engineering
o CAD/CAM  & Robotics
In addition, a range of electives including FEM, Automobile Engineering, Management-Info systems, etc.  Are offered.

COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN CENTRE:

Started with assistance from the Dept. of Science and Technology  (Govt. of India), where collaborative projects are taken up for live problem solving. Development of CAD/CAM and Robotics lab aided by AICTE for Undergraduate course by the Department is in the process.

R & D Centre:

Specializing in Metal Matrix Composites and Advanced Materials is also a postgraduate center affiliated to UNIVERSITY OF MYSORE.

STUDENT BODY PROFILE:

An overall knowledge of all the fundamentals of Mech.  Engg. coupled with machine drawing skills  and  new  areas  like  CAD/CAM, Robotics, etc. An expected high performer.

CO – CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:

The Mechanical Engineering Students Association, Yantra, has endeavored to widen the technical knowledge base of the students, as well as provide them with an exposure to the current trends in the industry. In keeping with these objectives, we at Yantra have not only conducted technical lectures and seminars, but have also arranged visits to excellent industrial facilities like L&T-Komatsu, Volvo, and MICO. These activities have ensured that the students of Mechanical Engineering will make a smooth transition from the campus to a professional workplace.
